It's.. Christmas Eve! o-o

Today I realized it's Christmas Eve.. o-o I know everyone says this and it's a bit cheesy, but wow. Time really does fly away. But, I don't care! I mean, it's Christmas eve! ~ That means... presents! I get to just spend time with family with the fire place on.. Speaking of which, what's your favorite thing about Christmas/The Holidays? Honestly, I love Christmas 'cause I get to feel all warm and cozy in mah awesome sweaters and hats.. Sadly it doesn't snow where I live, I wish it did on Christmas, that would feel so.. soo... AWESOME! It's a bit damp outside right now though where I live, since it rained. ( By the way, I live in California ) But, still.. I wish it had a more snowy affect to where I live.. I also love just the feeling of being cozy in my pajamas drinking hot cocoa while opening presents with family! Ya know, all those stereotypical things about Christmas. I'm excited to open my presents this year, I have like 6 presents, which I am VERY grateful for, and I'm really curious to see what they are.. Christmas treats are always really fun to make - and to eat too. Baking in general. I pretty much love everything about Christmas-not just getting gifts... Today I have been extremely irritating to my older siblings as I caroled all around the house. .. Ehh, I just really want it to be Christmas.. Is that a problem? O_o Aha, well, nothing much really happened today so far.. Recap : waked up, morning routine, wrapped some presents! Um.. Watched T.V... Ate breakfast, games, doing whatever, lunch, and here I am on the computer.. Well, that's pretty much for my blog today, so I'll just go now.. Oh yeah, the video : I'm really addicted to this song.. Aha, I love it.

Tips to Find Motivation To Do.. Homework!

  • Plan ahead. If you have a study period, do as much of your homework then as possible. The more you do when you are at school, the less you will have to do at home. Try to do it in class (if time is provided), at lunch, or any other spare time you might have. Get help if you don't understand. Ask your teachers: they're there to assist you.
    • Be sure to put the hardest class' homework at the top of your list to do.
  • Set goals and rewards. Once you've completed your goal and finished your homework, reward yourself with anything that you would find enjoyable and doable after you finish. (Don't use food as a reward, though - that could lead to health problems later.) Save a special book to read when homework is done, or make plans to talk with a friend on the phone as soon as both of you have completed your assignments. Go on your favorite website, or even dedicate yourself to a great project you've always been wanting to do.
    • Take advantage of any holidays or vacations that may be coming near. On a Thursday, tremind yourself that it is almost the weekend, and the moment this homework assignment is done you'll be one moment closer. Remember that Thanksgiving, winter break, or summer break is nearing, and the moment your homework is done you can enjoy it to its fullest.

  • Avoid procrastination
. The surest way to get over procrastination is to take care of a task as soon as you think of it - don't delay and tell yourself you'll do it later.
    • Think of it this way: If you procrastinate, you're spending time worrying about the task in addition to the time you actually do it. If you just take action and complete it as soon as you think of it, though, you'll have more time to relax.

  • Work smarter, not harder
. A fried brain absorbs little information. Break up your homework time into chunks. Take regular breaks. Set a timer; take a 5- to 10-minute break for each hour you study. Get up, stretch, and move around. Drink water and eat fruit: water will refresh your system, and an apple provides the same effect as an energy drink.

  • Think of the consequences
. What will happen if you don't do your homework? Will you get a bad grade? Will your teacher be disappointed of you? If none of these things seem to apply to you, remember that homework is to help you learn, which everyone ultimately wants. In the real world, knowledge helps you master the rules of the game.

  • Think of the benefits
. What will happen if you do do your homework? You'll get a great grade. Your teacher will appreciate your efforts. You'd have learned a great deal, and you'd be paving your way for a better life simply by putting your pencil to paper! Putting yourself in a positive state will reap in the benefits and ultimately surge you with the energy and hope to focus back on your work, and even enjoy what you're doing!

  • Find a place with less distraction
. Set up your special study place. No friends, television, or other potential distractions should be present. Your homework place should also have a hard surface, like a table, to write on. If you need to do most or all of your homework on a computer, as many high school students do, make sure to avoid chat programs, unrelated websites, etc. If you have difficulty keeping focused, or awake, consider doing your homework at the library, at a table with some amount of foot traffic passing by it. The quiet atmosphere will help you focus, the surrounding mild activity will help keep you from falling asleep, and if you get stuck, there are those helpful librarians and references.

  • Clean your desk/room
. It's easier to concentrate on your homework when you don't have clutter in your work space. Take 5 minutes to tidy up your immediate area before you get started.
    • Make sure you don't go on a cleaning binge as a way to procrastinate. Focus only on where you'll be working, and leave it at that.

  • Find a homework partner
. Make sure this person isn't one of your crazy friends who'll distract you. Find someone to sit with who is quiet and focused. This will help you feel comfortable working, because someone else is working along with you. Just be sure not to end up talking more than working.

  • Create your own learning method
. Everybody learns at their own pace and uses different methods to help memorize the material. Some find walking helpful, while others like to listen to music while they study. Whatever it is, experiment until you find something that seems to work well for you.

  • Listen to some quiet music (optional)
. Listening to music and studying does not work for everyone. If you are going to listen to music, try to listen to classical music or instrumental songs. Or if classical isn't for you, just pick a quiet song that you don't know, so you don't get caught up in the music, and start working.

  • Do physical exercises during study breaks
. It will help relieve tension and make you feel awake. Walk around a bit, stretch, do jumping jacks, or jog in place.

  • Make a routine
. A routine will get you into doing homework as a habit. Schedule times and days so you are totally organized as to what you're doing this week, the next, and even the week afterwards. Surprises will occur, but at the very least, you know what you're doing!

  • Disconnect
. Turn off computer, phone etc. that could distract you easily. Don't get wrapped up on the computer or phone on a break because you will not remember what you were learning about and it will delay your finish time. Stay away from them at all costs unless you must do the homework on the computer.
    • Put phone, computer, and anything else that might distract you far from reach. Then stay in a quiet room where you know you won't get distracted. Keep a timer for every 30 minutes to an hour, so you know how long you've been working and can still keep track of time.

  • Prioritize
. Divide your homework according to your ability in the subject. If you're not so good, do it first. If it's an easy assignment, take a break and do it in 15 minutes or so, then get working again! If it's a long-term project, do it last. Not that it's not as important, but you need to save your time for the things with near-due-dates.
    • On the other hand, it might also be a good strategy to get easy tasks over with at the start of a homework session and save the hard stuff for last. Diving right into the hard stuff can be discouraging, and studies show that people learn best when they start with the easy material and work up to the harder stuff. Getting a few easy tasks done quickly can remind you of how good it feels to be productive.
  • A Great Routine! - Wake Up! After School! Bed Time!

    How To Organize Your Binder

Blogger's Note : My binder was from Target.

Hey guys! Today I am going to show you how to organize your binder! :]

What to do before you sort :
    Get dividers if needed

    My Binder

    1. ) First off, to organize your binder, take out all your papers so you can sort them out.

As you can see, I sorted all my papers into sections. For example, this is a school binder, so I divided the subjects : Language Arts, Math, Science, History, etc..
    2. ) Next, take out any papers you DON'T need and throw it away.

    3. ) Now that all the excess stuff is out of your binder and you don't need it anymore, place all of your stuff back into your binder in order. ( Since my binder is for school, I put it in the order of my classes )

Me putting my papers back in the binder.

    4. ) And now, it's organized! Final look :

All clean and organized! :D Look at these tips below :

Remember those dividers I told you to get? Label them ( such as HISTORY, MISCELLANEOUS )
-- Keep papers in your binder so it's more convient and you don't have to tear out your notebook! --
Never keep your binder out of site.. Don't lose it!
-- Keep a planner in your binder so you can write down your homework and not forget!
Use a binder with circular rings - So helpful!
Clean your binder out once in a while before it overloads.

Recipe Of The Week : Chocolate Chip Pancakes

I'm usually the one who loves cooking and is always in the kitchen, yet I'm still really young. I love baking, since it doesn't include the stove, which I'm awfully afraid of getting burned. But, these pancakes makes an exception, since it's very simple and easy to make.

    Chocolate Chip Pancakes

    Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (you can also use gluten free flour)
    2 tsp granulated sugar
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    3/4 tsp baking soda
    3/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups buttermilk (regular milk works too)
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    2 large eggs
    3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
( Note : It can also be a pancake mix from a box, and you can just add chocolate chips )

    Directions:

Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add in buttermilk, oil, and eggs and then mix just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once griddle is warm, spray with cooking spray and pour batter using 1/4 cups. Once you see bubbles appear on the top surface of the pancake flip them. Cook for an additional minute or 2 on the other side. Remove from griddle and serve with butter and syrup. Or as I like my pancakes, with nutella and confectioner's sugar. Delicious!

Like it? Comment down below if you try it and tell me what you think!

Idea : What I did was shape them into hearts with a cookie cutter and I gave them to my mom for breakfast on Mother's day. She loved them, and I also gave her some other assortments of food.

Ask Me - What To Do When You're Called Ugly

Today I am going to start a new column on my blog, and I am going to have you guys ask me questions and I'll answer them. You can ask me by commenting down below, or if it's personal, you can email me at megankerfuffle@gmail.com and if it's really personal, you can always do anonymous screen name.

Anyways, today I am going to answer :

What should I do when I'm called ugly? The " popular " girls and the " cool " kids call me ugly constantly and I get offended really easily, what should I do about them calling me ugly? I'm sick of it. - Ugly

    Dear Ugly,

First of all, after you're being called ugly, don't react. Don't cry or be sad in front of them, I mean, all bullies want is to get a reaction. That's what they like. If you're like, " Whatever.. " they'll most likely back off and make it seem not as fun to torture you. Sometimes when people say I'm so short, ( As in a bad way ) I kind of get sick of it and annoyed, but then, I say, " Well, thanks. " So.. My point is to - A. ) Don't React & B. ) Say " Thanks " or something like that.

If those suggestions do not work, one day. One day, you can stick up for yourself and say, " Well, what happened in your childhood? How did you get so ruined? Seriously. Calling someone ugly, fat, or anything negative? I suggest you look at yourself and HEAR what you're saying, unless you're deaf. Please excuse me as I return to what I am doing. "

If you're really shy and you just cannot stick up for yourself, look at yourself in the mirror. Are you ugly? Are you? No. You're beautiful. You're beautiful....... Don't let anyone tell you you have flaws, they just might be jealous and the ugly ones themselves..

    - Love, Megsterz

    New Town Connecticut Shooting

Hey guys. My hearts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the Newtown Connecticut gun shooting. ♥ If you haven't heard about it yet, read this :

    Newtown, Connecticut (CNN)
-- Dressed in black fatigues and a military vest, a heavily armed man walked into a Connecticut elementary school Friday and opened fire, shattering the quiet of this southern New England town and leaving the nation reeling at the number of young lives lost.
Within minutes, 26 people were dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School -- 20 of them children. Among the six adults killed were Dawn Hochsprung, the school's beloved principal, and school psychologist Mary Sherlach.
The shooter, identified by three law enforcement officials as 20-year-old Adam Lanza, also was killed, apparently by his own hand. Separately, his mother's body was found at a Newtown residence.
"Stuff like this does not happen in Newtown," a tight-knit community of about 27,000 just outside Danbury, said Renee Burn, a local teacher at another school in town. In the past 10 years, only one homicide had previously been reported.

Photos: Connecticut school shootingPhotos: Connecticut school shooting

    Suspected shooter's brother questioned

    How the school shooting unfolded

Student: I saw bullets going past
With the death toll at 26, the Newtown shooting is the second-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, behind only the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech that left 32 people dead.
"Evil visited this community today," Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy said of Friday's massacre.
Young students described being ushered into bathrooms and closets by teachers as the first shots rang out. Janet Vollmer, a kindergarten teacher, locked her classroom doors, covered the windows and read a story to her 19 students to keep them calm.
Third-grader Alexis Wasik said police and teachers barged into her classroom and told students to hide in the corner.
"Everybody was crying," she said. "And I just heard the police officers yelling."
One parent who was in the school at the time of the shooting said she heard a "pop, pop, pop," sound around 9:30 a.m. In the room with her were Hochsprung, the vice principal and Sherlach. All three left the room and went into the hall to see what was happening. The parent ducked under the table and called 911.
"I cowered," she told CNN's Meredith Artley. The shooter "must have shot a hundred rounds."
Responding police officers helped evacuate the children, telling them to hold hands and keep their eyes closed to the carnage as they exited the building.
As reports of the shooting surfaced, frantic parents descended on a nearby firehouse where the children had been taken.
"Why? Why?" one woman wailed as she walked up a wooded roadway leading from the school.
Police declined to speculate on a motive Friday evening, citing the ongoing investigation. Lanza had no known criminal record, a law enforcement official said.
Alex Israel, a former classmate of Lanza's, described him as "quiet" and "reserved."
"You could definitely tell he was a genius," Israel told CNN, adding she hadn't talked with him since middle school. "He was really quiet, he kept to himself."
Three weapons were recovered from the school: a semi-automatic .223 Bushmaster found in a car in the school parking lot, and a Glock and a Sig Sauer found with Lanza's body, a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation said. The weapons were legally purchased by Lanza's mother, the official said.
The official said Lanza died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Lt. J. Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police said that the medical examiner will determine the cause of death for the gunman, though he noted that police never discharged their weapons.
In addition to the killings at Sandy Hook, another adult was found dead at a second location in Newtown, Vance said. A law enforcement source with detailed knowledge of the investigation identified that person as Lanza's mother, Nancy.
Despite earlier reports that said she was a teacher, Nancy Lanza was not a teacher at the school where the killings took place, said Janet Vollmer, a kindergarten teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Meanwhile, authorities in Hoboken, New Jersey, were questioning Ryan Lanza, the suspect's older brother, law enforcement sources said, though they did not label him a suspect. Lanza's father, who lives in Connecticut, was similarly questioned, one of the law enforcement officials said.
Earlier, investigators had identified Ryan Lanza as the shooter. It was not clear what caused the confusion among investigators.
The fact that so many of those killed were young children -- Sandy Hook serves students in kindergarten through fourth grade -- touched a nerve across the world Friday, from U.S. President Barack Obama and other world leaders expressing grief to regular folks reacting with horror on social media as the news unfolded. The overwhelming sentiment: Hug your kids closely.
Obama, a father of two girls, wiped away tears while delivering a statement about the shooting, saying, "Our hearts are broken today."
"The majority of those who died today were children. Beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old," he said.
The bodies of the young victims remained where they fell Friday night, as authorities worked to positively identify them.
Flags were ordered to fly at half-staff nationwide in tribute to the victims, and candlelight vigils were planned across the country as Americans came together to try to comprehend the tragedy.
At a vigil in Newtown, just a mile away from the school, mourners spilled from St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, which was filled to capacity.
"This is most definitely the worst thing we've experienced in town," Newtown Police Lt. George Sinko said.
Parents, meanwhile, struggled to come up with answers for their children who were among those safely evacuated Friday.
Aimee Seaver's daughter is a first-grader at Sandy Hook.
"It's a very rough night here," she told "AC 360." "When your first-grader goes to bed and says, 'Mommy, is anyone from my class last year -- are they all OK?' and you look at them and say, 'I'm not really sure,' it's a rough night to tell that to your 7-year-old."
It is not yet known how the gunman entered the school.
Hochsprung, the slain principal, had recently installed a new security system to ensure student safety.
Under the new system, every visitor was required to ring a doorbell at the front entrance after the doors locked at 9:30 a.m. and report to the main office to sign in.
Police began receiving reports of shots fired around 9:40 a.m. Friday.
In 1999, at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, two students shot 13 people to death before killing themselves.

    - What To Do When You Get Sick Of Electronics -

Bored person after watching like, 20 episodes of the same T.V. show.
Ah, I'm dying of boredom! Today's been a drag, since all I've done today was sit on my butt and go on the computer! Remember that feeling when you're on the computer with nothing else to search and you get completely sick of electronics because you're doing non productive things and you're just a hobo ? Well, that's how I feel. So, I'm going to stop my boredom by doing some fun stuff. .. And I'm showing you how! ~

After you close your laptop and kiss it goodbye, get dressed, cause that would make you feel more active and fresh. I know, pajamas on a Sunday is what you always do, but just get dressed.

The next thing I do is just simply exercise, because I always have that sick, tired, sleepy feeling and exercising always brightens me up. When you do this, you don't go all over the top, you can basically just do 20 jumping jacks, no biggie. One reason I also do this is so I get a bit hyper and I get more awakened.

Then, basically I just go play outside, draw, run over my acting script, go over my dance routine, or anything active to avoid the whole T.V. and all since all I need to do that for is just sit on my bum. You can do a whole wide sorts of things, you can also ask your mom / dad to take you somewhere, unless you're just staying home the whole day. What I like to do when I get bored is to do something challenging ( As for me, it's getting this specific hairstyle ) and I stick to it until I get it right!

Happy people having the time of their lives. ( And yes, that is Cimorelli )
